General Directions for Using Extracts & Tinctures as a Tea*

Before consuming any extract or tincture, it is advisable to research their uses and benefits in any herb book, two of which are available through St. Michael Store. Suggested Use: Add 15-18 drops in warm water, one to four times per day, or ¼ to ½ dropper-full may be placed under the tongue. Hold for minimum of 10 to 15 seconds. Swish around the mouth and swallow. May be followed with 1-2 oz. of water to cleanse the mouth. if desired.

All Extracts and Tinctures are in a base of alcohol to extract the properties into a liquid and acts as a preservative. Extracts contain 48%-52% Alcohol. Tinctures contain 60%-80% alcohol. We now have a few Glycerine base extracts, which have a natural vegetable glycerine extraction, instead of alcohol extraction. May be use for children under 12, in child doses.
